multiple note windows

Mauricio Sanchez Feb 14, 2017 07:03AM PST

It doesn't appear that Outline supports having multiple windows open to edit different notes/sections across each window. Would be a killer feature IMO.

+1 on the feature - really helps formatting a rough drafty note to something fairer with multiple windows side by side

I was just looking for the multiple windows option. It would be really useful if I could open two notebooks in two separate windows.

I use outline for drafting articles, and I keep notes on literature in a separate notebook (works great for sorting and categorising my bibliography). Would be so useful if I could have my literature notes open at the same time as my actual draft.

This would be very helpful. I frequently have to jump back and forth between old reference notes, and various active projects. It would be handy to have multiple pages open.

Not being able to have more than one notebook open at the same time is a severe limitation.

I agree the absence of multiple window views is a serious limitation.

I could see either opening multiple top-level app windows, or having only one app window and instead being able to open separate windows for individual pages (like Apple Notes). I probably prefer the first case.

I'll join in too! I've got 3 monitors on my development machine, a 27" Apple LED (2560 x 1440 pixels) on the left, a true 4k (4096 x 2160 pixels) in the middle and an Apple 30" Cinema display (2560 x 1440 pixels) on the right. So I like to put multiple windows up for various purposes.

I'd like to keep a general notes window on the left and a coding snippets and OS X documentation pointers on the right.

I also vote for this feature and need it badly. There are many instances where having multiple windows open is necessary. Just one example is I have taken notes in a customer meeting and now reviewing those notes with my team.

In this example, I want to take notes in my team meeting, and I also need to have a window open with my customer notes I can review with the team.

Please allow an arbitrary # of windows to be open. I was a long-time user of Circus Ponies Notebook and this was a VERY useful feature.

We should be able to right-mouse on any Notebook, Section Group or Section and open it in a new Window!

Thank you.

another vote for multiple windows. Lack of this feature makes this program unusable for my needs ... otherwise would love to switch to it
