How send picture or text from Firefox/Chrome directly into my Notebook?

outliner Mar 26, 2017 01:14AM PDT

In Firefox I can not see any possibility "send to outline" - how does it work?
Is it possible to frame a certain part of a webpage and then this send directly to my outline-Notebook - how does it work?
Thanks for your answer.

Thanks for reaching out!

I checked Firefox for Mac and right, didn't see any option to send directly to the app.
In Chrome, however we have a right-click option "Send to Outline".
It can be used for the selected text to get imported to the last opened page in Outline.
However, this option in Chrome doesn't import text formatting and pictures.

If you want to import just the text pieces you can try this feature in Chrome. Additionally the text formatting can be preserved if you manually copy-paste the text pieces in Chrome.
If you want, I can also ask our devs whether it's possible to set this option in Firefox too.
But if you want to import the pages the way they look in browser I can suggest you to use the Print to Outline feature.
Here is an article about it:

With this feature the webpages get imported as PDFs with all the pictures and formatting.
Do you have Mac Outline downloaded from our website or from the App Store?
In 3.17 version there are slightest differences between how you enable this feature.
