Outline crashes when opening large file

Barratt Jun 16, 2017 07:20AM PDT

I have no problem opening small .one files in outline. However, when I try to open a larger .one file that is 263 MB, the program crashes. Is there a limit to the file size that it can handle? Or is there a preference on my mac that needs to be set differently? I am using Mac OS version 10.12.5 on a macbook pro retina early 2015.

Hi Barrat,

We apologise for this situation!

Have you tried opening this section in OneNote?
Does it give any error on any of pages inside?

Apparently there is no restrictions on the section size.
As soon as this section must have a lot of the pages, one of them could get corrupted.

So I can only suggest to divide this section into several ones and open try opening them in Outline - one by one.
After you finish moving the sections to Outline, you can move the pages to single sections again - in Outline for Mac it's simple drag&dropping.
