Synch issues - multiple duplicate sections are being created

On my Mac, in the notebooks I am actively using, the synch process is duplicating my sections, including all the pages contained in that section. The new section(s) will have the same name followed by date information.

I have already tried the following:
1) deleting all my notebooks and reopening them from their iCloud locations and that seems to help, but the problem returns.
2) running your utility for clearing cache

I use this for work and simply cannot continue having to delete these each time I open this application...

Hello and thank you for reaching out!
First of all, please make sure you do not open Outline or OneNote simulteneousely on several devices. Have you noticed when the problem actually returns? Usually the duplicates appear when the notebook is opened on more than one place at a time and avoiding it should solve the issue.

Is there a "Second of all" with additional trouble-shooting suggestions? I'm having this issue as well, but I do not have Outline open simultaneously on multiple devices. Any help much appreciated!

Hello Andrea,
sorry to hear Outline doesn't work as expected!
Please try the following:
- close the notebook on all devices (including web OneNote)
- remove your notebook in Outline (make sure it stays at your chosen storage)
- dowload the notebook in Outline again, using Open From button
- password protect the section in question and then remove protection again (if the section is corrupted that action repairs it)
Please let us know if that doesn't solve the issue!
