Issues with my initial test drive of Outline for Mac

Brian Braunschweiger Jun 04, 2019 03:53PM PDT

(1) As far as I can tell the only way to get an actual traditional outline formatting is using the bullets or numbers from the tool bar?

(2) There is only one level of indent of traditional outlines? (again, seemingly only through the tool bar using bullets or numbers?

(3) Any way to hoist or unhoist a selected item (i.e. change its place up or down in the outline, keeping it at the same level)?

(4) I want to import from CP Notebook. If this works it is a definite plus. I believe I am following the instructions correctly but can't get anything to show in Notebook. One of your web pages mentioned thaat ability only working in 10.11 and 10.12. I am now on 10.14 Mojave (which crashes CP, the whole reason I need a new outlining/notebook app. Would it work if I export as described from CP on 10.12, moved that file to the desktop of my 10.14 machine and then continued the import from there?

Thanks, The application looks great. I just have to be sure it does what I need it to.

Hello Brian,
sorry for the delay.
you can also create bulleted lists using Tab and Arrow Up + Tab
You can create more than one level of indentation (please check out this artickle for some shortcuts:
Unfortunately, the only way to move an item without changing its indentation level is to cut and paste it.
Now, as for CP, Do you get an empty notebook in Outline?
