UNDO / Copy Paste Function on Ipad

Marvin Louis Jul 08, 2013 08:36AM PDT

Hello - as I can see in this forum - the plan for an update including a proper textselection & undo-function is about 1 year old now... Could you please tell me how long this is going to take to be fixed ?
I do really like your App but it's completeley useless for writing in a creative way (song lyrics) without those options.

Thank you !

Hi Marvin,
I'm glad to inform you that selection has already been fixed and is going to become a part of our nearest release. Once it is release you will be able to select as much text as you need and other content as well, select All.
As for Undo - it is addressed to our next major release.
We realize the importance of this function and surely will integrate it.
Stay tuned and feel free to contact me whenever there are questions or ideas to share with us!

I know it has been posted several times already, but I have to comment... I am new to Outline and just forked out cash for iPad and Mac applications so that I could have a better alternative to the standard Notes app. My aim was to be able to use my iPad Air with Adonit Jot Script to help make notes in meetings... I failed.

Firstly, and importantly, I could not UNDO. Having made some corrections to an agenda, I inadvertently deleted it... and could not undo it. Imagine my embarrassment when chairing a meeting I lose the agenda.

The other problem, when I switch to pen mode, the pen options are on the bottom of the pad and stay visible throughout the use of the pen. Outline does not have palm rejection and so accidental touches caused problems, including switching pen colour.

Bottom line, the absence of an undo feature is, to me, completely unacceptable. I cannot recall another app with such an oversight - something like that is so obvious you don't even look for it when reading specifications.

Will I continue to use Outline? Maybe,... but sorry to say I am looking for a better alternative...
