Sync local notebook with WebDAV

Outline-User Mar 07, 2017 09:21AM PST

I'm currently trying out the Outline Trial for Mac.

I want to create a new notebook and sync it with my WebDAV storage.

However, I can't find an option to do that:
I created a local notebook, but there's no option sync it with my WebDAV storage (I successfully added my WebDAV storage to the Outline sync providers however).

Hi Joe,

Thanks for reaching out!

On Mac you need to manually move the folder of your notebook to your WebDAV server.
If it's mounted as folder on your Mac, you can simple drag&drop the notebook's folder in Finder.
Or you can upload the folder in your server web client.

After that you will need to open this notebook with "+" at the top of notebooks pane > Open from WebDAV.
Here is an article on how to move the local notebooks to cloud storages:

Please write to me if there are any questions.
I will help!

I copied the notebook to my Webdav (Nextcloud), and was able to open it with the plus icon. However, syncing it afterward does not upload any changes back to Webdav.

I've tried this both with the "use webdav locks" checked and unchecked. I've seen the tiny left bottom sync icon briefly turn red twice, but no error messages.
