Do you receive any error messages on sync? What cloud storage do you use?
Could you please check the location of your notebook: - right-click the notebook's cover inside the app > Show in Finder or Properties.
For Dropbox and Box the notebook must get revealed in an appropriate folder in your Finder. For OneDrive and WebDAV you must get the cloud title in Properties > Location. For iCloud the Location lie must be empty.
