Syncing changes on iPad to WebDAV fails

TF Nov 14, 2017 01:54AM PST

I managed to get OneNote notebooks from a OwnCloud/WebDAV drive by deactivating the file lock option. Now I get all information (pages, sections etc.).
But when I change one page in Outline on my iPad and try to sync these changes the corresponding page file in mey WebDAV folder is emptied (file size = 0 kb).

No error occurs, everything seems to work correct; except the fact, that the updated file is crushed/emptied.

Any hints?

Hello Thomas,
thanks for contacting us.

We need debug details to investigate issue. Could you please help us?

All you need to do is:
- Go to the Outline menu and press ALT. “Advanced preferences” option will appear.
- Set there a tick opposite "Enable logging"
- Relaunch Outline. You will see a message that logging is enabled.
- Then try to recreate situation when sync occurs but the folder is emptied.
- After that go to:
if you have AppStore version - Finder -> Go -> Go to folder -> /Users/<user name>/Library/Containers/com.gorillized.outlinemac/Data/Library/Outline/Stores/Logs/Sync
if you have version from our Online Store - Finder -> Go -> Go to folder -> /Users/<user name>/Library/Outline/Stores/Logs/Sync
And send us .zip files from there.

Debug mode will be enabled automatically when you close the app.

Hello Helping Hand,

I have the iPad version of Outline. The description you gave my seems to be for the Mac version.

What do I have to do to provide the necessary information from the iPad version?

I'm sorry,

Here is how you can enable the logging on iPad:

• Go to Settings > Synchronization > SharePoint
• Tap + to add a new server.
• Fill in the server link field: enter DEBUG.
• Important: after writing DEBUG for the server link, tap 'Done' on the iPad keyboard. If you skip tapping 'Done' on the keyboard and right away click 'Done' in the settings window, then the logging won't be enabled.
• Check a pop-up window telling you the logs were enabled.
• Re-open the app. Make sure not just to minimize and maximize Outline+, but close it and then re-open.
• Now make the action which doesn't lead to an expected result.
• Get the logs: access the 'Documents' folder on iPad via iTunes.
• Send me the logs to
