Adonit Jot Script

Kristofer Oct 14, 2014 12:19PM PDT

First off, hooray for the update!

I have been waiting to purchase the Jot Script until this update was released. Now that it has happened, before I pull the trigger with Amazon, I am curious - does the Adonit Jot Script provide any different experience now that Outline+ has the palm area and the zoom field? The component I was waiting for was the palm rejection for note taking, but I cannot tell if the Jot Script will give me an enhanced experience over any other powerless stylus.

Thanks, and thanks again for the the update.

Hi Kris,

Hope you are fine!

Handwriting with the Adonit Jot Script is very smooth and accurate which we can`t guarantee if you`re going to use any other styluses not officially supported.

Please let me know if you have any further questions or comments.

Have a nice day!

Hi Kris,

Don't know if this helps, but I have been waiting for the palm rejection bit too and can't wait to try the new version (as soon as it works on my ipad). That aside, I have been using a Jot Pro on Noteshelf for my handwritten notes, and it is as close to perfect as I think I will ever get. It is a beutifully designed piece of kit, with inbilt magnets and the plastic disc makes it almost silent. It often raises an eyebrow or two when I take notes in a seminar. I therefore assume that you will not be sorry to make this purchase and I also hope it will be outstanding with Outline. As soon as I get the fix, I will start using Outline for my notes so everything is in one place.

I also have a Jot Script, and I must confess that in Noteshelf I am less impressed. While it does allow me to keep multi jesture features enabled, it is very noisy as it taps the glass, which can be distracting in quiet environments. I also find it disconnects occassionally which is annoying, and it is bigger than the jot pro so less comfortable. If you could find a stockist who would let you try one, then I would reccomend it. I think I am going to try the Jot Touch shortly and see how that holds up.

Best of luck on your search, let me know if you have more questions.

Hello Richard,

Thank you for letting me know!

Please mind that the current version of Outline doesn`t officially support Adonit Jot Pro, so we can`t guarantee its stable work and smoothness until we add
the functionality. I have put your request on our wish list and will forward it to the team. There is already a number of clients with the same request, so I hope
we`ll think of adding Jot Pro to OUtline`s external accessories in the nearest time.

By the way, were you able to download the test version?

Looking forward to hearing from you soon!

Can anyone confirm that the Jot Script iPad Air combo works well with Outline+?
iPad Air 2 changed the screen power saving process and this was messing up this stylus in other handwriting apps- see note here fron Adonit:

Before I pull the trigger on a Jott Script I'd like to hear from a user or the Outline+ team that this is up to date with Adonit's latest SDK designed to address the iPad Air 2 issues?

It seems that Outline+ is not featured by Adonit at the moment

Hi everyone,

I just bought the adonit jot script 2, which has been updated to work with the ipad air 2.

However, I just cant get the same performance from the stylus that i get with other supported apps like Goodnotes. I do not seem to get palm rejection, and the handwriting is not smooth. I have activated the stylus support in the outline app.

The performance seems to be the same as in other non supported apps, i.e. as if the bluetooth is turned off.

Has anyone else had this issue? To me it does not seem that the stylus is fully supported.
