Edit Notes on iPad

Add New Note

Tap anywhere on a page and start typing when cursor appears. 



See your note being outlined on a page.



    NOTE: You can continue editing the current outline or start a new one - to be able to move 
               the pieces of text separately. 


Edit Note
 
Tap on a note to select it and tap again to open keyboard. 

In iOS 9, you can also edit text by simultaneously placing two fingers on the screen and moving them to direct the cursor to the place where you want to make edits.



Selecting Text
 
Tap on a note to make outline appear, then tap its header to select text. 
Drag blue markers to modify the selection. 

In iOS 9, long tap with two fingers and the word within which the cursor is placed will be selected. After selection appeared, move cursor along the text if you want to select more.




    NOTE: Double tap on a page to get the page's setting pop-up window. 
               Choose Select all to move or delete all the objects on a page.
               To move the content to another page use cut-paste.
    

Move Note
 
Tap on a note to select it and drag it by the header to a place you want it to be located.




Delete Note
 
Tap on a note to select it, then tap on its header and choose Delete. Another way to delete a note is to erase all content in this outline.


Text Styles



To apply a style, select a text piece, then select style from dropdown style menu in the keyboard toolbar.


    
    NOTE: To change the text style of the piece that already exists on a page place the cursor on
               a page to get the keyboard appear, select the piece you want to edit and select the
               formatting option.


Lists

You can create bulleted and numbered lists to help organizing your notes.




Indented lists
    
To create an indented list, press Tab on your wireless keyboard, or tap Tab button 
on the on-screen keyboard. 

To remove indention, press Delete on the keyboard or tap the corresponding button on your screen.



To increase indentation level tap Tab.  
To decrease indentation level tap Tab back.

    NOTE: To create a numbered list, just type "1." or "-" and tap Space. 
               The list will continue the numbering when going to the next line with Space button.

Tags

Visualize your notes with tags and checkboxes. 



You can either choose a tag option from the toolbar and start typing, or select already existing text and apply tagging. 

    NOTE: Tap Tab button on keyboard to apply indentation and Tab back to apply back
               indentation for tags. 
    
Tables

Collect and organize your data in Outline tables.

Place a cursor on a page and select the table option from the keyboard toolbar > Insert table.

Or place the cursor at the end of the text line and tap Tab button in the keyboard toolbar.
Get the two-celled table created!




Add Column or Row

Choose the scenario most comfortable for you:

    • Place the cursor in a table cell and tap. Choose Insert Left or Insert Right in a pop-up
      window.
    
    • Place the cursor to the last cell in a row and tap Tab from the keyboard toolbar.
    
    • Use table button in the keyboard toolbar > Insert Columns / Rows
                                 

Adding a row goes even easier: 

    • Place cursor into the last cell in a row and tap Return
    
    • Place the cursor in a table cell and tap. Choose Insert Above or Insert Below in a pop-up
      window.
    
    • Use table button in the keyboard toolbar > Insert Columns / Rows




Delete Column or Row 

    • Tap on a cell, then tap the cursor and choose Select All from the context menu, drag blue
      markers to select a column or a row you would like to delete. Tap Delete.
    
    • Tap table button in the keyboard toolbar, scroll down and choose Delete Columns or
      Delete Rows.
    



Copy or Delete Table

    • To copy or delete table, double-tap it and choose Cut / Copy / Delete in the pop-up
      window appearing. 
    
    • Tap table button in the keyboard toolbar, scroll down and choose Delete Table.
